One-day program: Hallasan
Hallasan is the highest mountain in South Korea (1,947 m) and the heart of Jeju Island.
This is not mountaineering - it’s a long scenic hike along well-maintained trails where you can fully experience Jeju’s unique volcanic nature.
If you wish, we can accompany you on any of the four main trails, choosing the best route based on your fitness level, pace, and preferences.
Routes to Hallasan:
1) Seongpanak — to the peak and back
• Difficulty: intermediate / closer to difficult
• Distance / time: ~20 km / ~9 hours
• The most popular trail leading to the summit and back.
• The route is long and rocky and requires endurance — recommended for active travelers used to long hikes.
• Along the way, you’ll see forest landscapes, panoramic viewpoints, and a final climb to the summit.
2) Gwaneumsa — to the peak and back
• Difficulty: difficult
• Distance / time: ~17 km / ~10 hours
• A more challenging route with steep sections and rocky terrain.
• Recommended for experienced hikers who want a more intense trail and dramatic scenery.
• The views are especially impressive near the summit area.
3) Yeongsil — observation circular route
• Difficulty: easy / moderate
• Distance / time: ~6–8 km / ~3–4 hours
• One of the most scenic slopes of Hallasan, with beautiful views of the forest and volcanic landscape.
• This route does not go to the summit, but it allows you to enjoy the mountain nature, impressive rock formations, panoramic viewpoints, and waterfalls without a long climb.
• A great option for those who want a beautiful hiking day but are not aiming for the peak.
4) Eorimok — sightseeing route
• Difficulty: easy / moderate
• Distance / time: ~5–6 km / ~2.5–4 hours
• A shorter route through forest trails with scenic viewpoints.
• Suitable for families with children and travelers who want an easy nature walk without heavy physical effort.

Difficulty level and support
• Some routes (Seongpanak and Gwaneumsa) require good physical endurance, but this is not a race
- Hallasan is climbed by many travelers of different ages at a comfortable pace.
• The sightseeing routes (Yeongsil and Eorimok) are suitable for almost anyone who feels comfortable walking for several hours.
If you would like a guide, we can accompany you on the trail, help you keep a safe pace, and make the hike more comfortable - especially if it’s your first time climbing Hallasan.
Seasonality and weather conditions
Climbing Hallasan is possible all year round, but the route depends on weather conditions.
During heavy rain, strong wind, or snowfall, the national park may temporarily close trails.
In winter, trails are often icy, so we recommend using ice cleats (shoe spikes).
We always check the forecast and official trail status before the hike.
Format and group
The program is organized as a private excursuin, starting from 1 person .
We adapt the route and pace to suit your group.
Price - upon request
The final price depends on:
• the chosen route,
• the number of participants,
• the season and trail conditions.
We calculate the cost individually and suggest the best route option based on your preferences.
